Patrick Talmadge

Patrick Talmadge Sr has always been a late bloomer. He didn’t stop growing until he was over 21 years old. He reached his peak in running as a national and world class masters middle distance runner, until he was 37 years old, when he won his first master’s national track and field championship, in the 800-meter run.

When he was 47 years old, Patrick received his BA, and ran college cross country as the oldest ever NCAA runner. When he was 54 Patrick went back to college for his Masters in Psychology and ran the mile in track, again as the oldest ever NCAA track and field runner. At the age of 57 he received his master’s in Psychology. At the advanced age of 66 he started writing his first book.

Patrick taught himself to read at 3 ½ years old and has been a lifetime reader since. With a focus on every field of science, science fiction and fantasy, he built a base of knowledge that would avail him when he started writing in later years. During his 20’s and 30’s Patrick would read 2 to 3 books a day. In 2011 when he graduated grad school, he retired from competitive running, and began wanting to write the stories burning through his soul.

In November of 2021, with the encouragement of the love of his life, Patrick began writing. By September of 2023, Patrick had completed a 4-book adult, science fiction series about Sasquatch, a 4-book kids Sasquatch series, and a 4 book series about a senior community that befriends a troupe of Sasquatch.

Patrick has a unique ability to write multiple stories at one time, which allows him to modify and adjust the relating stories as needed for clarity when writing a series. With luck Patrick will continue his passion for writing, for the rest of his life, or until his computer quits.
