Wife’s Birthday Weekend

I had a good time this weekend. Salli and I drove down to Portland, OR Saturday morning to see Wicked for Salli’s birthday. Salli has wanted to see Wicked for a while and we have been unable to get tickets. The play didn’t follow the book 100%, but was still very good.

We only spent a day in Portland. Besides going to Wicked and dinner we really didn’t do much else. We spent Saturday night at the Westin. The hotel was nice, the other hotel guests were loud. The room across the hall had a dog. Luckily, the dog only barked a few times. I don’t understand people that bring their pets to hotels. For me, vacations are a time to get away and bring your pets with you isn’t getting away.

The drive home from Portland on Sunday was wet and snowy. The roads were clear besides the all the water on the road. The Porsche handled the weather like a champ.
