The TiVo has been great. We’ve had no problems with programs not recording. The only annoyance with the TiVo has been no 30 second skip like our old DVR. After a quick search online I found out the TiVo has Easter Egg to enable a 30 second skip. You can enable the 30 second skip by playing a recording and clicking “Select” “Play” “Select” “3″ “0″ “Select”.
Now that we have the 30 second skip feature the TiVo is just that much better. Why isn’t this feature enabled by default? My guess is pressure from the TV networks to prevent people from skipping the commercials all together.
