Living Dead in Dallas (Southern Vampire Mysteries, Book 2) centers around Sookie Stackhouse like Dead Until Dark (Southern Vampire Mysteries, No. 1). In this book continues with Sookie and Vampire Bill’s relationship. Sookie has to use her “disability”, a telepathic ability that allows her to read minds, to solve a murder.

Like Dead Until Dark this book is an interesting twist on vampires. This book seems to be centered more on sex than a real plot line. I’m not sure why the author feels that she needs so many graphic sex references in this book. I feel stupid because I still want to find out what happens in the other books despite the thin plot.
