We had a very slow weekend. The weekend was mostly spent hanging around the house. We had our house appraisal for a loan refinance on Saturday. It turns out the house next door only sold for $280k. The house has not been updated as much as our house but if counted as a comparable it could still bring down the value of our house. Our appraisal should come in high enough to still leave us at least 20% equity. If I can get in contact with the loan officer I should be able to find out what the appraisal came in at tomorrow.

I haven’t had much luck getting a hold of our loan officer. If I can’t get a hold of him by Tuesday afternoon I’m going to call the mortgage company and get a new loan officer. It’s ridiculous that he never emailed back when I sent in the paper work he needed and never called back after I leave two messages. I need to get in contact with the loan officer to go over the fees and try to get the junk fees removed.

Today we went to the store to do some shopping and played Rock Band 2 at home. Rock Band is a lot of fun. I have been able to get into the game much better than Guitar Hero for the PS2.

Tomorrow hopefully I can call the loan officer and get the junk fees figured out.
