First Day in Napa CA

Our first day in Napa has been great we found out the Jelly Belly factory is 30 minutes away from our hotel. Of course we had to go check out that. The tour was great. I would very much recommend the tour. Just watch out for the nasty flavors of Jelly Belly’s: vomit, pencil shavings, ear wax, etc. We had lunch at a restaurant in the Jelly Belly factory. Salli had a jelly bean shaped hamburger and smiley fries and I had a jelly bean shaped pizza.

After Jelly Belly we stopped at two wineries for tasting. I one day we acquired three bottles of wine on our tour. At this rate we may run out of room in our car. At Hill Family Estate we meet Ryan the Son of the Owner, the Owner’s Wife, and Jack the winery dog. Ryan does some very interesting work using wine as a stain. To end the night we eat at Celadon in downtown Napa. The food was outstanding. Salli had a Kobe flat iron steak and I had ahi tuna. Tomorrow we are planning a drive into San Francisco.
