I just got off the phone with my insurance company. The claim on our Sentra is going to be covered under our uninsured motorist coverage. We won’t have to pay a deductable to repair the damage.
The insurance agent said using your uninsured motorist coverage normally raises your premiums. We have some gold package on our auto insurance that won’t increase the premiums for this claim. Not sure how much extra we pay for this gold package but it may have just paid off.
I’m feeling better about this dilemma. It is still going to be a waste of time, but now it won’t cost us any money.
